CONFESSION CORNER

Jeanette Williams, Class of 1969, confessed to a misadventure involving Lake Graham.  She and two other girls, all of whom decided they just had to visit their boyfriends across the lake, took to the waters.  They giggled their way across the lake, rather than walk around its far end.  Taking such a swim at night (what else; after all, they didn't want to get caught) can find a lake quite chilly, even in summertine.  Never mind-they simply HAD to see the boys; hang the cold.

Approaching the far side, the girls encountered the "slippery slope" of green slime which lined the angled exit from the lake.  Only then did it strike them that walking around that lake would have been not only cleaner but a lot easier to maneuver.  They struggled to reach the rim of the lake and, with their goal in sight, a material point occurred to Jeanette.  "Wait a minute, why am I going through this?  I don't even have a boyfriend!  I'm not going any further.  I'm going back to the Division.  "What?  Yu can't do that, not when we're so close.  Besides, we don't want to go alone.  You HAVE to come with us!"  "No, I don't and I won't."  A determined girl that Jeanette; only she had plenty of hindsight, but apparently very little forethought.  The other girls lacked both, as well as enough courage to see them through to the end of their misadventure.  Sadly, they trudged back to the dorm along with Jeanette.  Oh, what other misadventures might they have encountered on that night, and did they ever tell the boys what they missed?

This site encourages all you brave souls out there to submit your own misadventures, no matter where they occurred.
We promise-you're save from recrimination!
